What is Actual Budget

Actual Budget is an open-source application for family/personal finance and budget planning.

It is used for:

• personal finance management
• monthly budgets
• tracking expenses and income
• importing bank transactions
• savings planning

What will we need?

PiCloud with Casa OS - see installation in this tutorial.

How to do it

After logging into Casa OS, select Apps and search for Actual Budget. Click on it (do not click Install) and from the dropdown arrow next to the Install button, choose Custom Install. The default port is 15006, which you can change freely if needed.

Click Install. After installation, open the app at http://picloud.local:15006 or use your PiCloud IP address, e.g. in our demo http://10.1.1.56:15006. If you get a Fatal Error regarding SharedArrayBuffer, see below:

Simply click Advanced options and check "Understand the risk..."

Enter your access password and you can start using the app.
