Pi-Home Pro![]() ![]() Price: 4 290,00 € inc. VAT Looking for an affordable solution for your new smart home? Introducing Pi-Home Pro – a ready-made, tested smart home distribution board that’s prepared for immediate deployment. Simply connect it to the high-voltage distribution board provided by your electrician. All outputs are terminated with RSA white terminals at the bottom of the panel. In the high-voltage board, you only need an installation relay for each switched circuit—whether it's a light, socket circuit, blinds, pump, or underfloor heating. Otherwise, it is a standard high-voltage distribution board with breakers. Pi-Home Pro is recommended to be customized to your property, whether you’re building or renovating a house, cottage, or apartment. It allows control of high-power outputs and by default monitors inputs such as temperature, humidity, and motion in every room. It is based on open-source software OpenHAB (or optionally Home Assistant) and a central Raspberry Pi 5 unit. The switching logic and data collection are handled by Arduino Mega boards. These components ensure low hardware costs, long-term availability, and virtually unlimited compatibility with most smart home add-ons. What’s included?
PiHome Pro PiHome Pro – enclosed version PiHome Pro – without enclosure Who is this solution suitable for?Tech enthusiasts, and owners who like having full control over their home. Also ideal for those who don’t want to be locked into proprietary solutions that disappear with the supplier. You don’t need to know how to program to tweak your smart home. OpenHAB and Home Assistant offer intuitive graphical interfaces, and there are countless community tutorials for nearly anything you can imagine. Tools like ChatGPT offer a helping hand and are a huge asset during your first steps. We are also available for custom configurations, training and familirization. Who is this not recommended for?If you don’t know where your circuit breakers are, or call an external service to replace a light, a smart home might not be suitable for you. You may not use it effectively or adapt it over time—which would be a pity considering the cost. Open-source technologies are also not recommended for non-technical owners with unlimited budgets—they might prefer fully commercial, closed-source solutions from professional installers. If something goes wrong with the supplier, the entire system can be replaced to another. What components do we use and where do they come from? The OpenHAB software is our primary choice, developed by a global community originally from Germany. It is robust and beginner-friendly, though the community is smaller and mostly based in Germany and Europe. Home Assistant is more well-known, developed by a global community from the Netherlands. It has a larger community and supports more extensions. Both platforms cover 99% of home automation needs. The heart of the board is a Raspberry Pi 5 microcomputer produced by a UK company. These boards are widely used in industry and are fully certified. Genuine Arduino Mega boards are produced by an Italian company and meet CE, FCC, and UKCA standards. We use only genuine Arduino boards. Clones are available internationally, but we recommend them for development use only. Other components include certified DC power supplies from Taiwanese company MeanWell, a Netgear switch from the USA, RSA terminals and USB HUB from Czech companies Elektro Bečov and i-Tec. The panel, circuit breakers, and terminal blocks are from German company Hager. Krone terminals and Arduino relay boards use Chinese modules where no alternatives exist, but they include European declarations of conformity. Warranty and Terms:
