Stock status: In stock

PiHome Home Assistant bundle server is a ready-made, tested smart server prepared for immediate use. It comes pre-programmed with a finished graphical interface, items, and rules based on the PiHome model house. Ideal for hobbyists who want to tinker on their own but want to skip the initial purchasing part of buying a Raspberry Pi, assembling it, and installing the OS with basic configuration. You receive an already complete server with default settings and can easily draw inspiration from existing objects, overwrite existing items, or extend/modify rules or the UI.

What you get

Hardware
Raspberry Pi 5 (Raspberry Pi Foundation) fitted with a Suptronics X1001 NVMe expansion board and NVMe SSD drive, all housed in a compact Geekworm X1011 aluminum chassis.

Software
The drive comes with Raspberry Pi OS Lite pre-installed along with the CasaOS application manager, which allows you to control everything through a clear web interface — no command line required.

Pre-installed applications

Home Assistant — the most widely used open source software for home automation. Pre-configured for the PiHome modular house including UI and rules.

Code Server — a web interface designed for editing YAML files.

Mosquitto - MQTT server as the core protocol for communication with PLCs and sensors.

PiHole — blocks ads and tracking at the entire home network level, on every device at once, with no need to install any browser extensions.

Kopia - pre-installed backup solution for the entire PiHome to your own external drive or storage.

One-click extensions

Via CasaOS you can install additional popular applications at any time, for example: n8n, evcc, Node Red, and many more.

Openness and documentation

All software and configuration images are published as open-source on OpenTUX. CE declarations of conformity and technical documentation for individual hardware components are available on the respective manufacturers' websites.

Is PiHome suitable for a household without technical knowledge?
Yes. Management is handled through the clear CasaOS web interface — no command line needed. If you can use a regular website, you can handle PiCloud too. In case of difficulties, documentation and support are available at opentux.eu.
How do I access Home Assistant from outside my home?
VPN (e.g. WireGuard / Tailscale).
What happens if the disk fails?
PiHome is a single-disk solution — data is not automatically mirrored. We recommend regular backups to an external drive or remote storage using the pre-installed Kopia application.
Does PiHome meet GDPR requirements?
Data is stored physically with you — it is not transferred to third-party servers abroad. You have full control over who has access to it and where it is located.
Can I build PiHome myself?
Yes — guides, images, and source code are shared at opentux.eu. PiHome is for those who want a working setup right away, without time spent assembling and fine-tuning the installation.
