This project was created to share open source solutions suitable for use at home or small companies. We would like to present our solution validated in practice and achieve the best possible solution with the help of community.
What exactly is open source software?
It's open-licensed computer software. The features here are measured not by money but with your knowledge and they are limitless. It doesn't mean open source is "free." If you choose to use such a solution, you must invest your time or choose payed installation and configuration. In case of commercial products, you generally pay for the license and then invest the time or money to install and configure too. The main advantage of open source solution is independence.

My name is Michal and technology are my great passion. I graduated from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering at VŠCHT (UCT) Prague and for more than 9 years I have been deploying laboratory software in laboratories all over the Czech Republic. I use open source products on a daily basis at home and in a bussiness environment and they have saved me a lot of time and nerves. I have been a daily user of the desktop Linux operating system since 2007.
In 2015, my wife Michelle and I started to build a passive modern house. Part of this was the deployment of smart house control built on open projects such as OpenHAB, Raspberry Pi and Arduino. Potential of these projects does not stop there and there is a NAS built on it, we have our own family Wiki or multimedia center KODI. We would like to share all these useful projects with you on our website.
