Pre-installed 4-discs compact open source storage solution, built on the popular Raspberry Pi 5 board and powered by Open Media Vault and Nextcloud software. It offers low energy consumption and flexible customization options to suit your needs. It enables automatic centralized data backup from your devices, provides a unified place for viewing photos and videos, and offers advanced features such as a home wiki, shared calendar, office tools, and many other optional extensions.
This version includes only a 240 GB SSD in the SSD1 slot, where the operating system, Open Media Vault and NextCloud are preinstalled. It can be used as is; however, this setup doesn’t have the full advantages of a NAS. Add at least two additional SSD drives to this setup for data storage and backups on a third drive. See the second part of the setup process in the article Installation of Pi-Cloud on Raspberry Pi 5 or order a version with pre-installed SSDs where we will set it up for you.

Why did we choose SSD?
With the recent affordability of SSDs, the difference compared to HDDs is no longer as significant. SSDs offer several key advantages:
- Significantly faster access times - especially noticeable when copying many small files such as photos, work, or personal documents.
- Higher read/write speeds compared to HDDs - limited mainly by the bandwidth of a home/business network (typically 1 Gbps, or about 125 MB/s), or by WiFi speed.
- Silent, vibration-free, with no moving parts.
- Minimal energy consumption.
